I try to be mellow about things as often as possible.  Especially when it comes to internet-related issues.  I mean, a full time job, bills, responsible adulthood — these things take priority when it comes to my mind being preoccupied.  However, tonight it was brought to my attention just how volatile the Hetalia role-play community can be.  And how cruel.  So I have to speak up on behalf of someone that I respect in my role-playing circle.  I will not name names.

I love this moment for his character.

I love how he reaches backwards to put his arms around them.

And you notice how, in this moment, he is closest to Harry.  That this sudden danger sends him into immediate alarm — not for himself, but for the boy that he promises himself he will protect no matter what.  Hermoine is a secondary concern.  Notice that his arm swats into her, while he physically shoves Harry behind his body.  Because Severus will try to protect his students, yes, but right in this moment he is prepared to die for Harry most of all, as a shield.  Just like Lily.
